Scope of Services

Welcome to Smarā Therapy. This website and all services are operated by Yashodhara Kundra, an integrative therapist working with individuals aged 16+. By using this website or engaging in therapy, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Smarā Therapy offers individual integrative psychotherapy for clients aged 16+, including session bundles, psychoeducation, self-assessment tools, and digital resources. Services are offered remotely (online) or in-person (where applicable). Therapy is not a substitute for emergency care, psychiatric treatment, or crisis intervention.

Eligibility

By accessing this site or booking services, you confirm that:

  • You are 16 years or older.
     

  • You are acting on your own behalf or with appropriate consent if under 18.
     

  • The information you provide is truthful and accurate

Payment & Cancellation

  • Payment is due before or at the time of the session.

  • Accepted payment methods will be communicated upon inquiry or confirmation.
     

  • Cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.
    Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Confidentiality & Ethical Practice

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy and will be maintained in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and relevant legal standards.

Exceptions apply only if:

  • You or someone else is at serious risk of harm.
     

  • A child or vulnerable adult is at risk.
     

  • There is a legal obligation to disclose (e.g., court order).
     

  • You provide written consent.
     

  • All client records are stored securely and are accessible only to the therapist.

Use of Website

This website provides general information and psychoeducational content. The material is not a substitute for therapy or professional diagnosis. Users must not rely solely on this content when making decisions related to mental health.

Intellectual Property

All original content, graphics, and branding on this site (including the name Smarā Therapy) are the intellectual property of Yashodhara, unless otherwise credited. Reproduction without permission is strictly prohibited.

Right to Refuse Services

Smarā Therapy reserves the right to refuse, discontinue, or refer onward if:

  • A client’s needs fall outside the therapist's scope of practice or licensing,
     

  • There is a conflict of interest,
     

  • A client violates professional boundaries or engages in abusive behavior.

​Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and, where applicable, the Republic of India. In case of any dispute, reasonable efforts will be made to resolve the matter amicably before legal action is considered.
